Johanna Macneil

Professor Johanna Macneil (BA, MBA, PhD (Melbourne), Grad Dip Ed Psych (Monash)) is Assistant Dean, Teaching and Learning, Faculty of Business and Law, The University of Newcastle. Johanna is an outstanding educator and teaching and learning scholar, recognised in a 2014 Australian Universities Award for Teaching Excellence. She has led two Commonwealth Government Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP) grant projects, one on ensuring equitable outcomes for first-in-family and low SES group students through blended learning (2016), the second on mentoring young women from rural and remote areas to achieve their aspirations in business and law (2017), and ensured their outcomes are embedded in university practice. She has been a leader at the University of Newcastle in designing and implementing its new education framework.
